Carved stone post by the A246, in parish of WEST HORSLEY (GUILDFORD District), Epsom Road, East of junction of Shere Road with Ripley Lane, opposite car sales, on grass verge behind reflector bollards, on South side of road. Leatherhead cut stone, erected by the Leatherhead & Stoke next Guildford turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : GUILDFORD / 5 MILES : : WEST / HORSLEY / LONDON / 25 : : LEATHERHEAD / 6½ MILES : Milestone Society National ID: SY_GULH05.
