This is the Churnet Valley Railway south of Cheddleton. The steam locomotive has decoupled from a train, and has backed along the right hand track, https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6093043 to pass the bridge, then returned on the left hand track to re-couple ready for the return southwards journey to Cheddleton and Froghall. It is pouring with rain. The locomotive is a Great Western Railway No 5199 (in British Railways livery) Large Prairie 2-6-2 tank engine, built in 1934 at Swindon works. Image] Image] Image] Image]
