The photograph on this page of Dots by Bob Harvey as part of the Geograph project.

The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

The tram shelters on the Metro stations have glass wings or wind deflectors at each end, and these are decorated with graded colour dots, presumably to stop folk walking into them. This is Withington Tram stop. The bridge carrying Princess Road, and some storm clouds, are in the background.
