This was my mother’s first house after she had married Keith Roberts in 1937. However it was not a happy marriage and they agreed to a separation. In 1941, my mother moved to live in a flat at Image so as to be near her eldest sister, who also lived in Valley Road. She eventually met my father, who was in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserves, based in Felixstowe. She divorced her first husband in 1943 and married my father at St Bartholomew the Great church in London on 4 September 1943. This is Image from the back.
