Built by Dr Thomas Morrison of Elsick, Aberdeenshire, who settled in Strathpeffer when he discovered that the spring waters alleviated his arthritis. Rebuilt with additions in 1900 by architect Alexander Ross. The house was later bought by the Scottish Youth Hostel Association and run as a youth hostel until 2002. In 2004, the house was converted into four private residential flats. See also: Image
