Main site of former gunpowder mills, Roslin Glen

The information board shows the layout of the mills along the glen. Originally water powered from a weir and lades upstream, the mills were in operation from 1803 to their closure in 1954, when they were owned by ICI. Now the area is a Country Park managed by Midlothian Council.
