Statue of Tom?? Baťa , 1876 - 1932

The man initiating the establishment from 1932 of the Bata shoe factory here, along with its housing estate and community buildings. The plinth has his anglicised name, Thomas Bata. Unveiled in 1955, this is the prototype of a standard statue for use at factory sites in the former Czechoslovakia.
