Cast iron plate by the UC road, in parish of RICHMOND UPON THAMES (RICHMOND UPON THAMES District), Star & Garter Hill, top rear elevation of centre pier to main park entrance. Richmond Park marker erected by a private estate in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- ..........MILES YARDS SHEEN GATE - - - 1-1140 ROEHAMPTON GATE - 1-1350 ROBIN HOOD GATE - 2-1450 .........BY HAM CROSS KINGSTON GATE - 2-340 HAM GATE - - - 1-900 Lodge, gates and gate piers are Grade II listed.
