A small part of the 16-stand bus station viewed from the Castle Street side. Stand 1 is on the left. Coflein records that this bus station was built in the 1960s as part of the adjacent shopping centre following the redevelopment of the western riverside edge of the town. The two-curve shape of the bus station (part of one curve is seen here) was designed to funnel people into the shopping centre on arrival.
