Grade II Listed late 18th century former inn. An inn of this name appears to have occupied the site since the 16th century and reportedly closed in the 1960s. Directory entries include, 1842-1844 George & Dragon John Eyres under Taverns & Public Houses,1852-1855 Miss Martha Eyers under Taverns & Public Houses, 1875 George Stickland described as an Inn, 1889 William Biles described as P.H., 1895 John George Troubridge described as a Hotel, 1911 Jason William Pike described as P.H. and 1915 Walter Lasseter described as P.H.
