The railway station at Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a terminus. Trains from Saltburn usually run to Middlesbrough and Darlington, with some continuing to Bishop Auckland. The original station building is no longer in railway use. A supermarket occupies some of the land behind the facade. Trains now only use two shorter platforms, the entrance is by the far end of the facade.
