Carved stone post by the A1141, in parish of Monks Eleigh (Babergh District), by gate to avenue, on verge, on North side of road. Erected by the Hadleigh Turnpike Trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : V / Hadleigh : : V / Lavenham : Suffolk HER. HER Number (Pref.
