Old AA Sign on the west facing gable end of the Grade II Listed early C19 former schoolroom and reading room on the east side of the B3095 in Brixton Deverill, 5 miles northeast of Mere. Brixton Deverill parish. This is circular, but not quite conforming to the other two circular styles, showing distances Kingston Deverill 1½ Longbridge Deverill 1½ London 99¼. There were five series of AA signs, mostly dating from 1923 and made by Francis & Co / Franco in Deptford, London. The village name and distance to London were usually displayed.
