Carved stone post by the A381, in parish of WEST ALVINGTON (SOUTH HAMS District), 150m South of turn to South Milton, tight on grass verge, under hedge, on West side of road. Salcombe granite stone, erected by the Kingsbridge & Dartmouth turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : To / Kingsb / 2 : : To / Salco / mbe / 4 : Carved benchmark on top.
