Cast iron post by the B3213 (was A38), in parish of IVYBRIDGE (SOUTH HAMS District), Bittaford, East end of village by car sales, on grass verge at end of crash barrier, on South side of road. Plymouth spear iron casting, erected by the Plymouth, Eastern turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : 13 / MILES / TO / PLYMo : : 13 / MILES / FROM / PLYMo : Devon & Dartmoor HER.
