Stone post (plate lost) by the UC road, in parish of GREAT BEDWYN (KENNET District), Stokke Manor, on bank under hedge, on West side of road. Bedwyn plate, erected by the Marlborough & Froxfield turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (MARLBRO 6) (G. BEDWYN 1) Carved benchmark on lower face. Milestone Society National ID: WI_BWMA01
