Carved stone post by the B6254, in parish of PRESTON PATRICK (SOUTH LAKELAND District), 100m North of Gatebeck turn, on grass embankment, on East side of road. Kirkby Kendal stone, erected by the Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Milnthorpe turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : KIRKBY / LONSDALE / 5 : : KENDAL / 7 : Carved benchmark on top.
