Carved stone post by the A337, in parish of CHRISTCHURCH (CHRISTCHURCH District), Highcliffe, 17m East of churchyard gate; 70m East of junction with Castle Avenue, by the road, on North side of road, next to lamppost. Dorset 3 (limestone), erected by the Lymington, Lyndhurst & Rumbridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : 9 / L : : IM : : C / 3 : Carved bench mark and rivet on top.
