Cast iron post by the A513, in parish of ELFORD (LICHFIELD District), Tamworth Road, near Mere Pits Cottages, on the verge, on East side of road. Cochrane iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 20th century. Inscription reads:- : TAMWORTH 3 : : ELFORD / PARISH : : ALREWAS 5½ / BURTON 12½ : Maker:- : Cochrane & Co, Dudley. : Grade II listed.
