Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of LONGHIRST (CASTLE MORPETH District), Longhirst Colliery Crossing Station, on grass verge in stone wall, on South side of road. Cresswell triangle stones, erected by the Shields & Morpeth & Branches turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : MORPETH / (IV / MILES) : : CRESSWELL / (V / MILES) : Grade II listed.
