Opened in 1892 by the North British Railway on the short branch line from High Street to Bridgeton Central (then called Bridgeton Cross), this station closed in 1917. View north west towards the site of the main building, over the tunnel mouth. The platforms were still extant below when this image was taken but hidden by undergrowth. The whole area around this former station has been comprehensively redeveloped for modern housing.
