Cast iron post by the A511 (was A50), in parish of ROLLESTON ON DOVE (EAST STAFFORDSHIRE District), Lodge Hill, Alder Moor, between Horninglow and Tutbury, on the verge in front of metal fence, on Southwest side of road. Thornewill iron casting, erected by the Ashby de la Zouch to Tutbury turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TUTBURY / 1½ / MILES : : LONDON / 128 / MILES / ROLLESTON / PARISH : : BURTON / 3 / MILES : Maker:- : THORNEWILL / BURTON : Grade II listed.
