Cast iron post by the A361, in parish of CRANMORE (MENDIP District), village of Dean, on grass verge near houses, on South side of road. Plated iron casting, erected by the Shepton Mallet turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SHEPTON / MALLET / 4 : : LONDON / 111 : : FROME / 8 : Somerset HER.
