Metal plates attached to stone post by the A6, in parish of WARTON (LANCASTER District), Burton Road, Millhead, on bridge over River Keer, just before island for Truckhaven, by sign for Warton, between footpath and hedge at Northwest corner of bridge, on West side of road. Lancaster twin iron plate, erected by the Garstang & Heronsyke turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : BURTON / III / MILES : : LANCASTER / VII / MILES : : (WARTON) : Milestone Society National ID: LA_LABK07.
