Cast iron post by the A38, in parish of WRINGTON (NORTH SOMERSET District), top of Red Hill, near junction with Row of Ashes Lane, just North of Coles Motors garage and Agricultural Supplies entrance, on North side of road. Bristol Trust iron casting, erected by the Bristol turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / BRISTOL / 8 : : 1837 / BRISTOL TURNP(IKE TRUST) : : TO / CROSS / 8 : North Somerset HER.
