Metal plate attached to stone post by the A12, in parish of LITTLE GLEMHAM (SUFFOLK COASTAL District), Little Glemham, by the road. Ipswich iron casting, erected by the Ipswich to South Town, & Darsham to Bungay turnpike trust in the 19th century. Broken - right side missing. Inscription reads:- : YARMOUTH / 38 / SAXMUNDHAM / 4 : : GLEMHAM / TO / LONDON / 85 : : (WOODBRIDGE / 8) : Maker:- : J. GARRETT. / IRON-FOUNDER / ST.MARGARET'S / IPSWICH / 1818 : Milestone Society National ID: SU_LI85
