Carved stone post by the A19, in parish of OWSTON (DONCASTER District), fork of A19 and UC road to Sutton & Campsall, in verge in front of Owston Park Hotel, on West side of road. Erected by the Doncaster & Selby (new Trust) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- DONCASTER 5½ MILES ASKERN 1(½) SELBY 14(½) YORK 29 Carved benchmark on front, slightly to left.
