Carved stone post by the A3055, in parish of FRESHWATER (District), Freshwater, on the verge under tree, opposite road to primary school. Newport tombstone, erected by the Isle of Wight Highways turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 9 Miles from NEWPORT Milestone Society National ID: HA_NPTT09.
