Cast iron post by the B5061 (was A5), in parish of WELLINGTON (TELFORD AND WREKIN District), Bennetts Bank, Watling Street; Wellington; 160m East of junction with Haybridge Road, against stone wall, on North side of road. Erected by the Watling Street, Wellington District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SHIFNAL / 6 : : LONDON / 139 : : SALOP / 11M 6FUR : Grade II listed.
