Metal plate attached to stone post by the A5, in parish of MONTFORD (SHREWSBURY AND ATCHAM District), opposite Rodefern Lane, 460m Southwest of Beam House Farmhouse, on verge, opposite road narrows sign, on Southwest side of road. Telford gabled iron plate, erected by the Holyhead Road turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- HOLY- HEAD 100 - M SALOP 6 M-6F Carved bench mark and rivet on top. Grade II listed.
