Stone post (plate lost) by the A372, in parish of SOMERTON (SOUTH SOMERSET District), opposite Highbrooks Farm, West of Catsgore, on the verge in trees, on North side of road. LSCC iron plate, erected by the Langport, Somerton & Castle Cary turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Langport 5) (Ilchester 3¼) Somerset HER.
