Cast iron post by the UC road (was A38), in parish of BRANSTON (EAST STAFFORDSHIRE District), Branston village, Main Street, by junction with Acacia Lane, in pavement in front of hedge, on South side of road. Cochrane iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 20th century. Inscription reads:- : ALREWAS 5 / LICHFIELD 10 : : BRANSTONE / PARISH : : BURTON 2¼ : Maker:- : Cochrane & Co, Dudley. : Grade II listed.
