Cast iron post by the B6346, in parish of EGLINGHAM (ALNWICK District), Harehope Hall, 40m West of North entrance, on grass verge, on North side of road. Patterson twin ovals iron post, erected by the Alnwick to Eglingham turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : ALNWICK / 9 / MILES : : CHATTON / 5¾ / MILES : Maker:- : SMITH PATTERSON / BLAYDON : Grade II listed.
