On the left is a warehouse dated 1847. A sign reads "A.E. Monson Ship Stores". Grade II listed. Then comes the (New) Custom House, built in 1810 to the design of David Laing, his first job as Surveyor to the Customs. Grade II* listed. The latter was unused at the time.
