Cast iron post by the A520, in parish of LEEK (STAFFORDSHIRE MOORLANDS District), Cheddleton Road, Birchall, North of Leekbrook, on the verge, on West side of road. Lathe iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : LEEK 1½ : : LOWE : : CHEDDLETON 1½ / WETLEY ROCKS 4 / HILDERSTONE 14 / SANDON 17½ / STAFFORD 22 : Maker:- : Chas. Lathe, Tipton. : Grade II listed.
