Metal plate attached to stone post by the B3047 (former A31), in parish of BISHOPS SUTTON (WINCHESTER District), New Alresford, by the road, on South side of road. Tasker block, erected by the Winchester & Alton, Lower District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Replica plate now in Basingstoke museum. Inscription reads:- LONDON 57 WINTON 7 Maker:- TASKER Winchester HER & Winchester UAD.
