Cast iron post by the B4348, in parish of CLIFFORD (District), Newton; 40m East of lay-by at brow of hill, on deep verge, on South side of road. Hereford iron T-post, erected by the Chepstow District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / HAY / 4 / MILES : : CLIFFORD / PARISH : : TO / PETERCHH / 5 / MILES : Grade II listed.
