Carved stone post by the A307 (was A3), in parish of ESHER (ELMBRIDGE District), Portsmouth Road, West of entrance to Claremont Park, 50m East of brow of hill before La Selva, in retaining wall of cutting, on East side of road. Guildford facets, erected by the Kingston & Sheetbridge, 1st District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : COBH(AM)/ 2 : LONDON / 15 : ESHER / 1 : PORTSMOUTH / 54 : Carved benchmark on South face. Milestone Society National ID: SY_LP15
