Metal plates attached to stone post by the A6, in parish of CABUS (WYRE District), 20m South of Hamilton Arms, now Quattro's Restaurant, in hedge, behind wide verge, 10m before restaurant sign, on West side of road. Lancaster twin iron plate, erected by the Garstang & Heronsyke turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : LANCASTER / VIII / MILES : : CABUS : : (GA)RSTANG / 2¾ / MILES : Grade II listed.
