Carved stone post by the B3174 (was A30), in parish of ROCKBEARE (EAST DEVON District), 80m West of turn to Farlands Farm, opposite Gribble Lane, on the verge by hedge beside field gate, on North side of road. Exeter granite facets erected by the Exeter turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : 9 / Miles to / Honiton / 7 / Miles to / Exeter : : 169 / Miles / to / LONDON : : 7 / Miles to / Exeter / 9 / Miles to / Honiton : Carved benchmark on top.
