The HSBC Bank - former Midland Bank, Aberystwyth

Built between 1908 & 1910 by a Liverpool firm, and originally the local branch of Midland Bank. The building was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/300010233-midland-bank-aberystwyth#.XGcinej7TIU in 1987. HSBC, for those who are not aware of the history, was once the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, founded in the mid 1860s to support & finance trade between Britain and its far eastern outposts, and has grown into one of the world's largest financial institutions. It acquired the British Midland Bank in 1992.
