The imposing Staines Town Hall dates from 1879-80 and was designed by John Johnson, architect and District Surveyor of East Hackney who won a public competition. It is built in a Renaissance style with Italian and French motifs as detailed in its EH Grade II listing https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1187053 It is certainly one of the more interesting buildings in Staines-upon-Thames.
