The disturbed land in the foreground shows the planned route of the by-pass where South Ayrshire Council has been doing some advance work to clear the way of hedges and trees. This shot looks over the railway line and the existing A77 towards Laigh Smithston Farm. The foreground of this shot lies inside the square.
