Very impressive, particularly amid the surrounding flatlands. Built in 1901-05 for Bass to the designs of H.A. Couchman. Eight pavilions, four or five of which retain their crane hoods, flank a central tower. Behind is a chimney, in front are single-storeyed offices. Grade II* listed. More info here Image Malting operations ceased as early as 1959, and after a few fires and other occupants, the buildings have lain empty for almost thirty years. The challenge is how to find a re-use for a thousand feet of six-storey industrial buildings in a small rural town in Lincolnshire. The latest mixed-use development plan foundered in 2015.
