Cast iron post by the A133, in parish of GREAT BENTLEY (TENDRING District), Colchester Road, by South side of the road. Stanford iron casting, erected by an unknown authority in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : COLCHESTER / 7 / GT BENTLEY : : PARISH / OF / GT BENTLEY : : THORPE / 5 / GT BENTLEY : Maker:- : STANFORD & CO / COLCHESTER : Grade II listed.
