Cast iron post by the A38, in parish of SHIPHAM (SEDGEMOOR District), Star Village, on narrow footpath almost engulfed by overgrown hedge, on West side of road. Bristol Trust iron casting, erected by the Bristol turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / BRISTOL / 14 : : 1837 / BRISTOL TURNPI(KE TRUST) : : TO / CROSS / 2 : Grade II listed.
