The two stone waymarkers are set at first floor level in the wall of Kettle's Yard art gallery on the southwest side of Castle Street, Cambridge. Originally set at coachman's eye level, both stones were moved to ground floor level by 2018 when the building was renovated. The upper stone is a turnpike terminus boundary marker with the inscription: GODMANCHESTER / TURNPIKE ROAD ENDS / HERE (pointing hand and upwards pointing arrow) Milestone Society National ID:CA_CAGMt The lower stone is a turnpike terminus milestone with the inscription: To / the Horse- ſhoe Corner / GODMANCHESTER / 14 Miles 4 Furlongs (pointing hand).
