St Andrew's Church was built in the 14th century but, despite a Victorian restoration, by the middle of the 20th century congregations in this tiny village had declined to unsustainable levels. By the 1960s services were no longer held and the building fabric deteriorated to the point where demolition was actively considered. However, thanks largely to the efforts of a local builder, the church was rebuilt as a private residence a role it has played for nearly 20 years now.
