The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

First opened on 3/9/1984, to replace one burned down by arson in 1979. It originally had an entrance porch, and today (2019) one of a handful of libraries run by the Bracknell Forest borough council.
