Metal plate attached to stone post by the A367, in parish of STRATTON ON THE FOSSE (MENDIP District), Fosse Way, near White Post Inn, Chilcompton, set into wall; junction with the B3139, on West side of road. Bath hands iron plate (terminus), erected by the Bath turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- THE BATH ROADS {hand->} TO THE GUILDHALL BATH M FUR 10 & 4 Grade II listed.
